Guide to participate at the Online Challenge (English/Deutsch)


There's no official desktop edition of the SC anymore, but that's not a reason to spoil the party!
The so called Online Challenge is our competition with new ranking lists and even a world cup.

How to participate at the OC? Sadly the website isn't (yet) available in English. All required steps are explained here...

• We're playing with a custom patch, just take a look at the installation instructions.
  
  
• There are still race weekends. The season calendar with all details can be found here.
  
  
• Your results can be submitted to the ranking list with the help of the ONLINE mode.
  
  
• After some seconds your results will be visible at the ranking lists of the competition.

How to register a HAPPYTEC account... (English/Deutsch)

This step is only necessary if you don't have an account at HAPPYTEC.at yet! If you can't remember your password, you can reset it here. If your account is still inactive, because you didn't receive a confirmation mail, send a message to the admin team.

1. To register a new account, click at Registrieren, located at the dark bar at the top of the page.
   
   
   
   
2. Please enter your new username at the field Benutzername and your mail address at E-Mail-Adresse as well as E-Mail-Adresse bestätigen. Type your new (and secure) password two times into the corresponding Passwort fields. Finally enter the answer for the security question at the Sicherheitsfrage field. Sadly this step is required to block automated registrations from bad robots. I know, it's a little bit tricky to get the right answer without understanding the language. Please use Services such as Google Translate to translate the questions.
   
   
   
   
3. If you live in a different time zone, you can select your time zone at the field Zeitzone. With the two checkboxes you confirm that we have your consent to process your data and that you accept the terms of use. Submit the form with the button Absenden.
   
   
   
   
4. You should see the following message if everything was successfully.
   
   
   
   
5. You should receive a confirmation mail with the subject "Willkommen auf HAPPYTEC" after some minutes. Please take a look at the Junk directory too! Finally open the message and click at the confirmation link.
   
   
   
   
6. Done! Your account is active...

How to login at HAPPYTEC... (English/Deutsch)

Allright, you can't login without a HAPPYTEC account. If you're not registered yet, please scroll up to the previous post.

1. To open the login page, click at Login, located at the dark bar at the top of the page.
   
   
   
   
2. The login forms looks a little bit different at each system or link. Please enter your username at Benutzername and your password at Passwort. If you're using your computer alone, click at "Bei jedem Besuch automatisch einloggen" to enable a cookie-based autologin. Submit the form with the button "Login"...

How to submit your results to the ranking list... (English/Deutsch)

You can't upload worse results into the ranking lists, only new personal records at this competition will be counted. Rewinding is doping and therefore not qualified for the rankings. Race or training ranking list will be selected automatically.

How to use the ONLINE mode... (English/Deutsch)

The so-called ONLINE mode is the easiest way to submit results to the ranking list!

If the OC patch has not yet been installed, read on here: OC-Desktop Installation

To activate the ONLINE mode, you need to log in at the game:

1. Expand the profile by clicking at the down arrow symbol in the top left corner.
   
   
   
   
2. Now click at Login or New account and fill out the login form.
   
   Use the username and password of your HAPPYTEC account to log in.
   
   
   
   
   • When you click on Login you only need to enter the password:
     
     
     
     
   • However, by clicking on New account you can also log in with a different username:
     
     
   
   
   
3. After successful login, ONLINE appears in the top right corner.
   
   
   
   
4. Done, you can start playing!
   
   Your results (ghosts) will be automatically uploaded to the server after reaching the finish line and you will see a ranking list directly in the game.
   
   Remember: Rewinding is good for practicing, but such ghosts won't appear in any rankings.
